The Challenge

Learning about career options is a complex and dynamic process of weighing opportunities at many different points in life. Common questions we aimed to address include: "Do I need to go back to school?", "Who employs people with my skills?", and "What jobs are in my area and pay enough to live on?". The goal with this project was to anticipate when people are looking for career information, and offer it in a way that is specific to geography and current priorities.

 Our Contribution

As a Senior Designer with Davis Pier Consulting, Jane led the design research phase. She captured varying experiences and ideas from people who were in the midst of the career exploration process, and staff who supported people through this process. She facilitated a collaborative process to make sense of the research and develop ideas. The team developed a comprehensive and inclusive process to decide on what services to build, and worked closely with the development team to incorporate nuanced details into the final design.
